Money has been tight in our house for the last few years, so we have had to make some tough decisions on where to make cuts. I was lucky enough to keep my job, but my wife was laid off, and could only find part time work. One of the first things we decided we could do without was cable TV, so we cut it off almost two years ago. Even though it was hard at first, my wife and I got used to it, and made due with watching network television. We are both working full time again now, and we can finally afford to get cable again. We found a great deal on a satellite TV package at directstartv.com and we can't wait to get it up and running. We have almost forgot what it's like to have all those channels. I can't wait to start watching Sports Center again. I know my wife hates it, but she will have to deal. She can't wait to have access to E! and Bravo again. It has been so long since we've been able to watch our favorite shows that I anticipate some serious time spent in front of the tube soon!

I love watching all of the house hunting shows. I know that some people constantly scour online ads in order to find the best apartment and may even move every few months. They end up with beautiful architecture and a chance for a fresh start or they even have lower rent than before.
However, the thing that always holds me back from actually doing this is just simply that I hate the process of moving. I just don't know anyone with a truck and I have lots of stairs up to my apartment so friends really don't want to help me move. I always think that movers are too expensive until I saw The House Removals Company. It will just take a few seconds to put in the different locations, number of bedrooms, and an email address to start the process. Since I don't know where to start I love the fact that I can get lots of quotes from companies at once. I learned a lot about the moving process itself like removals insurance from this site. Although it's UK based you can also get international quotes for all kinds of removal companies. Moving is so stressful that for my next move I'm definitely going to try and leave it to the professionals.

My husband is in real estate, and he recently decided to buy a second home. With the interest rates as low as they currently are, he decided that we could afford a second home to rent out. He is much more of a risk taker than I am, but he has also made a very good living in real estate over the years. He was an investor in a restaurant that did very well, and he made a great deal of money when he was bought out. His plan is to rent out the home after he makes a few minor upgrades. He got the house for a great deal, and the home we live in is paid off. We used to own a number of rental properties that we sold almost ten years ago. Jim just feels that the market is so good for buyers right now that he wanted to take advantage of the situation. He is planning on using fixed-rate energy through http://www.texaselectricityproviders.com/ in the home to keep the energy costs predictable. While renting can sometimes be a pain, like when the water heater goes out or some other major repair needs to happen, it can also be highly lucrative.

One of my favorite black and white rooms ever belongs to the Evil Queen on the show Once Upon a Time. It has birch print wallpaper, black columns, and it looks like a marble floor. There isn't any color in the space which at first leads to that "evil" feeling. However, it's so dramatic with the color palette and so neutral that everyone in that room pops. It makes someone wearing red lipstick really mesmerizing. If I would've been decorating it I would've gone with a lot of heavy stone or made it feel like a castle and that's why I'm not a set designer. The modern feeling and color palette feels a little bit dangerous and shows that the Mayor knows who she is at least design wise. Even though the ropm is quite intricate it serves as a backdrop. Do you like the Evil Queen's house?

I am not a huge fan of theme decorating. Instead, I love it when interior design plays around with the existing architecture or antique furniture that you already have. This is also a pretty cost effective way to decorate. This is why I was thrilled to come across Period Living magazine. It's a Britain based magazine and site that stays true to period decor. There's also information about holiday homes. There's even an interesting article about how to make money from your second home.
There's a special section devoted just to readers' homes. You can sort this section by a few of the different rooms that are available. Since I'm from the United States I can't even imagine what goes along with restoring a 17th century house. It's so refreshing to see all of the craftsmanship that goes both into the original structures as well as the actual renovation. Some other decorating ideas include furniture buying and color choices. If you need a step by step guide for your next project check out Period Living.
